Convection Stoves
A convection stove is the same as any other log burning stove or multi fuel stove, the only difference being that convection stoves have additional side panels which form a space between the stove outer casing and these additional side panels. The cold air is drawn up through the bottom of these spaces and vented out of the top as hot air.
This generates an even warm air distribution in the room. Some say a convection stove is safer than a normal wood burning stove as the sides protect the main casing from young children, but in reality a child would never get that close to any type of fire or stove. Here are some images of the type of convection stoves that we have experience of installing.
